Growing Up So Quickly

These boy's are growing up so quickly! This Sept they both started new schools which, after some initial adjustment, they appear to be enjoying. Tommy has started Transitional Kindergarten - which is for kids who's birthday is just after the cutoff. Basically Tommy will be taking Kindergarten twice. He is really learning a lot, and has made some new friends, so it appears to be great for him. Ross is also adjusting to life without his brother around, which has it's pros - like getting invited to birthday parties without his brother.
Tommy also took up AYSO soccer for the first time this fall. The "big leagues" - well, a slightly more organized version of soccer that what he was doing before. I ended up helping out with a little coaching, which was exhausting but fun. You basically spend an hour trying to heard the kids around the field - and they tend to run out of steam pretty quickly. A good game is one without any tears.

More shots of Ross and Tommy.

2014 Year in Review
I remember writing that 2011 felt like the fastest year of my life. Well, pretty much every year since has flown by faster than the last. And 2014 has brought on a whole slew of changes! The big news heading into 2015 comes from the Vietnam Clifford's, Colin and Emily are expecting their first child. Little Squishy is due this spring and we are all eagerly waiting to meet her. Colin and Emily are enjoying teaching and doing very well. Mom and Dad went to visit this past fall and had a great time exploring Hanoi, Halong Bay, and observing Colin and Emily's daily life in Vietnam.
Nicki has been quite busy herself. She's had her challenges at work, but is taking them in stride and excelling at everything she does. She started off the year swimming with sharks. She also visited Columbia for a week and swung by the Bay Area.

Debbie and I are officially in our 40s now, and couldn't be happier with where we are at. Watching Tom and Ross grow and learn brings us so much joy. The two boys are starting to play (fight) together now, and appear to be forming a good brotherly bond. Ross joined Tommy at Children's Corner daycare and has started talking up a storm. He definitely likes being surrounded by other kids. We took a family sabbatical, which included a trip to Puerto Vallarta and a trip to Lake Michigan. I left Wine.com after almost 10 years of and joined design agency called Sequence. Debbie got promoted and a new boss.
As the boys grow, we are starting to feel like some of the parental fog is lifting - so hopefully we'll get better at reaching out to all you friends and regaining some small part of our old life back. All in all, we are excited to see what 2015 brings us!
Happy New Year everyone!
