More Tahoe Snow!!!

Just spent a wild weekend up in Tahoe. Over 3 feet of snow fell over the weekend (according to the crooked rulers at Squaw), the majority on Sunday. The California Highway Patrol shut down the main freeway out of the mountains Sunday night due to poor visibility, stranding us in the mountains (poor us). We ended up staying in Tahoe from Thursday night through to Monday morning. Lucky (or unlucky, depending on your view) we have Internet access at the cabin, and were able to get some work done over the course of the weekend, saving those oh so valuable vacation hours.

The skiing conditions on Friday and Saturday were amazing, especially Saturday. The snow kept falling, filling in our tracks. We blasted Homewood, getting fresh tracks on Hidden Vein, which was roped off in the morning due to a race.

On Sunday I spent my day digging out my car. I think I dug it out three times over the course of the day. I left a Mohawk on the top of the car, so I could see how much snow had fallen over the course of the weekend. Also to have some fun as we drove back down to San Francisco. It finally blew off the car as we neared Auburn (close to Sacramento).

Debbie and I plan on a return visit Thursday. Can't wait!
