We're Back!

Blue Mosque

Debbie and I have been back a couple of weeks now. We've been trying to catch up on sleep and getting used to being back at work - both are turning out harder than we expected.

I have finally gone through all of the photographs, and uploaded them to flickr and cliffordcorner. We had well over 2000 combined photographs, it was quite an undertaking.

The trip was amazing! We highly recommend visiting both Turkey and Croatia. My Harem

Istanbul has to be one of the most diverse and interesting cities I have ever been to. It is literally the crossing point between Europe and Asia, and there are folks from all over the world doing business there.

Cappadocia is stunning. Our hot air balloon ride over the valleys of Cappadocia was one of the high-lights of the trip. The cave suite Debbie and I stayed in was one of the most unique hotels we've ever stayed in. The open air museum, the hike through the Rose Valley, and the underground city were all amazing.

From there we drove across Turkey to the southern part of the Turquoise Coast - part of the Lycian Way. The coast was beautiful, and the ruins were amazing.

I loved exploring the coast. There were so many amazing ruins that you could spend hours exploring (and photographing). And the beach at Patara was awesome.

We left the girls at Patara and headed off to Greece. Both Santorini and Mykonos are great, but there are definitely a lot of tourists. Greece was the most relaxing part of our trip, but also the most touristy.

Then we were off to Croatia. Croatia was our favorite country of the trip. Zagreb was a fun, mellow city. Plitvice was a stunning park, with fantastic waterfalls. And the Dalmatian Coast (Split, Hvar, and Dubrovnik) was fantastic.
